First time I ever tried to decorate my food. I need practice, but it was the most fun I had today. :-)

I LIKE! I have not tried the recipe yet, maybe this weekend. I'll see what I can do to get off my arse.
What did you decorate it with?
Food coloring. That simple! :-) I know that there are period food colorings, but I used commercial coloring. I didn't want to use eggs, or I might have taken the same approach you did, saffron in egg and perhaps berry juice in egg for the darker color. :-)
